The Hon Victor Dominello MP announces a second round of funding for the Youth Opportunities
In November 2012, Minister Dominello announced funding for 33 projects from the Youth Opportunities grants program. A list of successful projects can be foud below.
Minister Dominello recently invited applications for a second round of Youth Opportunities funding. Applications close on 4 March 2013. The Youth Opportunities program provides time-limited grants to new projects which enable young people to lead and participate in community development activities.
Officers from the Youth Strategy and Participation Team will be conducting a series of workshops around NSW in the first and second week of February to better inform potential applicants about the guidelines and the application process.

Youth Opportunities is managed by the Office of Communities in the Department of Education and Communities.
The Hon Victor Dominello MP, Minister responsible for Youth Affairs launched the $3.1 million Youth Opportunities program in 2012.
The Minister responsible for Youth Affairs, Victor Dominello used a Youtube video to launch a $3.1 million initiative to engage young people in projects which overcome barriers to participation in the community.
The Youth Opportunities program provides time-limited grants to new projects which enable young people to lead and participate in community development activities.
The Youth Opportunitiesprogram replaced the former government’s Better Futures program and follows an extensive consultations and the review of the Better Futures program in 2011.
Applications for the Youth Opportunities program opened on Friday 29 June and CLOSED at 5pm on Monday 6 August, 2012.
